The Samsung Status bar appears at the top of your Samsung Galaxy A12’s screen.

Many icons appear at the Samsung Status Bar. Some of them are so easy to know what do they mean, Like the Wi-Fi icon. But there are many other icons that you may see for the first time.

I made this list to help you understand what do the Samsung Galaxy A12 Status Bar and Notification icons mean.

The Status Bar icons may appear differently depending on the service provider or the Android version installed on your Galaxy A12.

Samsung Galaxy A12 Software Update Step by Step:

Follow These Steps to Update your Samsung Galaxy Device via Samsung Odin flash tool:

Step 1:
Run Samsung Odin flasher as Administrator.
Step 2:
Click on the Options tab and make sure the Auto Reboot, F.Reset Time options are checked.
Step 3:
Select the 4 firmware files:
– Click on the BL button and select the file starts with BL_xxxx.
– Click on the AP button and select the file starts with AP_xxxx.
– Click on the CP button and select the file starts with CP_xxxx.
– Click on the CSC button and select the file starts with HOME_CSC_xxx or CSC_xxx.
Step 4:
Turn Off your Galaxy device, And wait for 10 seconds.
Step 5:
Connect the USB cable to the computer. It is better to use the original USB cable you got with your Samsung device.
Step 6:
Put the device into the Download Mode:
– Press and hold the Volume Up + Volume Down buttons. Then, Insert the USB cable (Must be connected to the PC).
– When the Warning screen appears, Release the buttons.
– Press the Volume Up button to enter Odin Mode (Download Mode).
Step 7:
Check if the computer detects the newly connected device completely, You will see the COM port number of your device at the Odin window (0:[COMxx]).
Step 8:
Click on the Start button. Odin flasher will start installing the new firmware files on your Galaxy A12, And reboot it when finishing.
Step 9:
Wait until you see PASS! Word at Odin program’s window. That means the update was successful. You can disconnect your Galaxy device from the computer.
Step 10:
After your Galaxy device is entirely on, Select your preferred device language. Then, Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the initial setup.

How To Factory Reset The Samsung Galaxy A12

This easy step by step tutorial will help you to Factory Reset (Hard Reset) your Samsung Galaxy A12, wipe all the saved data, and restore it to the factory default settings.

There are two methods to factory reset (Hard Reset) the Samsung Galaxy A12. You can reset the Galaxy A12 from the Settings menu, And you can reset it from the Recovery Mode.

How To Factory Reset the Samsung Galaxy A12 from Recovery Menu:

Time needed: 5 minutes

Follow these steps to reset your device from the Android recovery menu:

Step 1:
Ensure your Samsung phone is powered off, If not, Then turn it off (Press and hold the Side key + the Volume Down button. When the Power Menu appears tap on Power off).
Step 2:
Press and hold the Volume Up button, Then press and hold the Side key too.
Step 3:
Wait until the Android logo appears, Then release all buttons. After a few seconds, you will see an Android Recovery menu on the screen with many options.
Step 4:
Use the Volume Down button to select Wipe Data/Factory Reset option.
Step 5:
Use the Power button to confirm your selection.
Step 6:
Now use the Volume Down button again to select “Factory Data Reset“.
Step 7:
Confirm it by pressing the Power button (Side Key), And Wait for the Factory reset process to be completed.
Step 8:
The Android Recovery menu will return, and the Reboot System Now option is highlighted. Press the Power button (Side Key) to reboot your phone.
Step 9:
When your Samsung phone is fully on, Select your preferred device language, And follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the initial setup.

How To Wipe Cache Partition on the Samsung Galaxy A12:

Clearing the cache partition of your Galaxy device will not delete your data (Contacts, SMS, Photos, Videos,… Etc). It will remove the temporary system data which is useful to make the system run more smoothly. It is recommended to wipe the cache partition after installing a new system update.

To wipe the cache partition follow the same steps like (Factory Reset Samsung Galaxy A12 from Recovery Menu). But instead of selecting the Wipe Data/Factory Reset option, You should choose the Wipe Cache Partition option.

How To Soft Reset the Samsung Galaxy A12:
